WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao government has approved a new training and education program focused on Special Foundation Education (SFO), aimed at strengthening specialized educational support on the island.
The Council of Ministers agreed to both the action plan and implementation of the Applicatiecursus and Minor Special Foundation Education program for the period from April through December 2026.
According to the government, the plan will now be forwarded to the Dutch State Secretary for Kingdom Relations and the chairperson of the National Reform Commission for further coordination of the follow-up process.
The initiative falls under the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (OWCS) and forms part of ongoing educational improvement efforts within Curaçao’s reform agenda.
