WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Fire Department has presented key developments in its ongoing modernization program to its personnel during an internal information session.
The initiative, described as a strengthening trajectory, aims to enhance operational capacity and further professionalize the fire service within the community. During the session, the department’s management team shared details about the process currently underway.
The program includes proposals to improve legislation and regulations, strengthen the legal position of the organization, and optimize its internal structure. It also focuses on continuous training for firefighters and the development of a comprehensive communication strategy to improve service delivery to the public.
A central element of the initiative is the development of human capital. The Fire Department plans to expand training opportunities, both locally and internationally, to ensure that all personnel remain up to date with the latest techniques and procedures.
Firefighters attending the session were given the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on the proposed changes. According to the organization, the open and constructive exchange demonstrated a strong commitment among staff to work together toward a more resilient and effective fire service.
Acting Fire Chief Ana Rodriguez, together with the management team, emphasized that the modernization process is long-term and requires dedication from all involved. “We rely on the professionalism and passion of our colleagues.
