WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao is stepping up its involvement in regional cooperation on disaster preparedness through its participation in a Caribbean-wide victim information system.
The initiative, approved by the Council of Ministers, will allow Curaçao to contribute to and benefit from a coordinated approach to managing information during emergencies.
The Directorate of Legislation and Legal Affairs will play a central role in implementing the system, working with various ministries and organizations to ensure readiness and integration within the island’s disaster response framework.
Authorities say the system is expected to improve communication, coordination, and support for affected individuals during crises.
