WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao-born entrepreneur Joad Lopez is gaining international attention with the launch of his first book on entrepreneurship and global expansion, titled Before You Sign Anything.
The book was officially presented on April 18 during the International Franchise Show in London, one of the leading global events for franchising and business development.
Lopez, who grew up in Curaçao and is now based in Barcelona, has built an international career as an entrepreneur and franchise advisor. Through his company, he supports brands in expanding into new markets across different regions.
In his book, Lopez shares lessons from his own journey of scaling businesses internationally. He openly discusses both successes and setbacks, including experiences that led to significant financial losses. According to Lopez, these challenges helped shape a practical method aimed at helping other entrepreneurs navigate the complexities of global growth.
He previously gained recognition with the ice cream brand eyescream and friends, which expanded internationally and received awards, but also encountered difficulties in entering multiple markets.
With Before You Sign Anything, Lopez aims to provide entrepreneurs with a clearer understanding of the risks and pitfalls associated with franchising and international expansion, offering insights to help them make more informed decisions before taking their businesses abroad.
