Curaçao Endorses New International Postal Agreements

Local, | By Correspondent June 1, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao has approved participation in a series of international postal agreements negotiated through the Universal Postal Union (UPU).

The Council of Ministers authorized instructions for the Minister Plenipotentiary to support various additional protocols and agreements linked to the UPU during the upcoming Kingdom Council of Ministers meeting.

The Universal Postal Union is the specialized United Nations agency responsible for coordinating international postal services and establishing global standards for mail delivery.

The agreements are expected to support continued cooperation between postal operators worldwide and ensure that Curaçao remains connected to international postal networks.

The government said the protocols are part of routine updates to international postal arrangements and will contribute to maintaining reliable international mail services.

Further details on the individual agreements are expected once the Kingdom-level approval process is completed.
