Local, Politics, | By Correspondent July 20, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao has completed a major digital transformation across its publicly funded schools, according to the Ministry of Education.

The ministry announced that fiber-optic internet and Microsoft 365 have now been implemented at all government-funded schools. Officials say the digital infrastructure will improve education quality, streamline school administration and prepare students for an increasingly digital world.

The ministry also reported progress on the Central National Education Application (CLOA), which continues to be expanded with support from the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK). A memorandum of understanding with Aruba will allow the education platform to be extended throughout the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.

In addition, a new student tracking system has been introduced for both primary and secondary education, while teachers across the island have completed two rounds of receiving digital devices to modernize classroom instruction and improve administrative efficiency.
