WILLEMSTAD – The Council of Ministers has approved a Memorandum of Understanding between Curaçao and the Florida Institute of Technology to promote academic exchange.
The agreement was proposed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and will establish a framework for cooperation between the island and the U.S.-based university.
The program aims to create opportunities for student exchanges and academic collaboration.
The minister responsible for education has been authorized to sign the agreement on behalf of the country.
Before the agreement can enter into force, a national decree will be submitted to the Governor of Curaçao for signature.
Officials say the partnership is intended to expand educational opportunities for Curaçao students and strengthen international academic ties.
