WILLEMSTAD – Motorists across Curaçao should expect roadwork in several neighborhoods this week as the government continues its maintenance and paving program. Minister Charles Cooper and the Public Works Department (OW) have announced the schedule for road projects taking place from August 17 through 21, 2026.

The planned work includes asphalt paving on Monreposweg, as well as Kaya Bor and Kaya Wans in Mahuma. In Montaña, crews will work on Stakamahachiweg and Cocolodeweg.

Paving work is also scheduled for Kaminda pa Fuik, Kaya Agosto Boelijn and Kaya Tibaros.

More extensive work will take place on Koraalspechtweg, Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard and Goetoeweg. These projects include the installation of sewer pipes followed by asphalt paving.

Maintenance work is also planned along Santa Rosaweg, where crews will concentrate on the roadside shoulders and other smaller improvements.

The projects form part of the government’s ongoing road maintenance activities being carried out by the Public Works Department under Minister Cooper.

The government did not provide specific hours for the work or details about possible road closures and diversions in the announcement.
