WILLEMSTAD – The Council of Ministers of Curaçao received the first official series of commemorative stamps titled The Blue Wave during a special presentation by CPost International on Tuesday, May 5.

The new stamp collection consists of six stamps and commemorates Curaçao’s historic qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2026, marking the island’s first-ever participation in the tournament and making it the smallest country in the world to qualify.
The stamp series was officially presented by CPost CEO Jervhes Josephia to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Shalten Hato, who received it on behalf of the Council of Ministers.

Also present during the ceremony were Minister Roderick Middelhof and Minister Tyron Boekhoudt.
Josephia was accompanied by Samuel Nicholas, Director of Corporate Sales and Retail Services at CPost, and Arnold Martis, Manager of Sales and Marketing.
The Blue Wave stamp series celebrates what officials describe as a historic sporting achievement for Curaçao and reflects the national pride surrounding the island’s road to the 2026 World Cup.
