WILLEMSTAD, BADHOEVENDORP - Corendon will launch direct flights from Düsseldorf Airport to Curaçao on 14 December. The tour operator will operate the service three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, using a World2Fly Airbus A330. The aircraft offers 30 Business Class seats.
With the new route, Corendon is further expanding its presence in the German market. More than 15,000 German passengers already travel to Curaçao via Amsterdam each year. The direct service from Düsseldorf will make the island more accessible to German holidaymakers.
Martin de Boer, Commercial Director at Corendon: “Curaçao has been a popular destination among our travellers for many years. At the same time, we are seeing increasing demand for holidays departing from Germany. With direct flights from Düsseldorf, we are making the island more accessible to German, Dutch and Belgian holidaymakers, while strengthening Curaçao’s visibility in a market with significant growth potential.”
The new route will also provide Dutch and Belgian travellers with additional departure options. Düsseldorf Airport is conveniently located for travellers from eastern and central parts of the Netherlands, North Brabant, Limburg and parts of Belgium. The city is also well connected by train, with journey times from Utrecht and Amsterdam of approximately two hours. In this way, Corendon is broadening the potential audience for direct holidays to Curaçao.
