WILLEMSTAD – Fundashon pa Konsumidó used the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day to draw attention to the safety of products sold on the market, stressing that consumers should be able to trust that the products they use daily are safe.

The international day was marked yesterday by consumer organizations around the world. This year’s theme, “Safe Products, Confident Consumers,” focused on the importance of product safety and the protection of consumers.

According to Fundashon pa Konsumidó, the issue applies to many products commonly used in households, including electronic devices, toys, cosmetics and food items. The organization emphasized that all products placed on the market must comply with established safety standards in order to prevent harm to consumers’ health.

The foundation also urged consumers to stay informed when purchasing or using products. It advises people to read labels carefully, check product information and follow usage instructions properly.

To increase awareness among consumers, the organization said it will continue its public education activities. This includes continuing the short video series Konosementu ta poder and sharing research on product safety through its communication channels.
