WILLEMSTAD – The annual Children’s Carnival parade attracted large crowds on Sunday and is widely being described as a successful and festive event.
The colorful procession began at Plaza Hariri and made its way through the streets before concluding in Otrobanda, where spectators lined the route to cheer on the young participants.

A total of 22 groups took part in the parade, showcasing striking and creative costumes, lively tumba music, and an atmosphere filled with joy and excitement. The vibrant colors and energetic performances reflected the spirit of Curaçao’s carnival season and highlighted the enthusiasm of the island’s youth.

Families and visitors gathered along the route to enjoy the spectacle, turning the parade into a community celebration that blended music, dance, and cultural expression.
The carnival festivities continue this week. On Friday, the Teen Parade is scheduled to take place, with several secondary schools set to participate in what is expected to be another lively highlight of the season.
