CGA Welcomes Delegation From Japan’s National Police Agency

WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) welcomed a delegation from Japan’s National Police Agency today for an official meeting focused on international cooperation.

During the meeting, CGA provided an overview of its institutional development, regulatory responsibilities and work in the areas of licensing, supervision and enforcement. The Japan National Police also explained its duties in relation to gambling.

The parties discussed developments and challenges within the online gambling sector, among others the topic of illegal online gambling. An important part of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The memorandum establishes a framework for cooperation and information sharing between CGA and Japan’s National Police Agency, within the respective legal framework of each organization.

CGA appreciates the open and constructive dialogue and looks forward to continued cooperation.
