CGA Records Operator-Requested and Regulatory Revocations in Separate Gaming Registers

Local, | By Correspondent October 1, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Gaming Authority’s public records reveal an important distinction in the way revoked online gaming licences are reported: all 50 revocations appearing in the main licence register are recorded as having taken place at the operator’s request, while regulatory actions initiated by the CGA appear in a separate enforcement register.

The distinction emerges from a comparison of the CGA Online Gaming License Registry dated September 21 with its Enforcement Register dated September 14.

An analysis by Casino Aurum found 50 entries in the main licence register recorded as revoked at the request of the operator.

Separately, the enforcement register contains 32 regulatory actions: 31 licence revocations and one licence that was not extended, according to the compiled data.

Ten of those regulatory actions carry the same date, November 25, 2025.

The separation matters when assessing the number of licences on which the regulator itself has taken action.

Looking only at the main online licence register could give readers an incomplete picture because CGA-initiated enforcement measures are recorded separately.

Independent databases monitoring Curaçao’s gambling sector similarly treat the CGA licence register and enforcement information as distinct sources.

The CGA is responsible for regulating the online gambling sector under the National Ordinance on Games of Chance, which entered into force on December 24, 2024.

The authority also warns operators that old sublicence certificates issued under Curaçao’s previous gambling system are no longer valid. Operators that have not formally received and had a new licence confirmed by the CGA may not display the regulator’s new licensing seal.

The separate registers therefore provide different pieces of Curaçao’s evolving regulatory picture: the main register records the licensing position of operators, while the enforcement register provides additional information about regulatory intervention.
