WILLEMSTAD – The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) has published its Research Agenda for the period 2026–2028, outlining the key economic and financial stability challenges that will shape policy analysis in the coming years.
According to the CBCS, research will concentrate on climate change, public finances, balance of payments, monetary policy effectiveness, economic resilience and labor market dynamics. These priorities reflect the structural vulnerabilities of small island economies and the increasing exposure to global shocks.
The research agenda integrates the work of the Economic Analysis & Research Department and the Financial Stability Division, emphasizing the interdependence between monetary policy, financial stability and sustainable economic growth. The CBCS says the agenda is designed to support evidence-based policymaking and strengthen the resilience of the monetary union.
