WILLEMSTAD – Caribbean Research and Management of Biodiversity Foundation (Carmabi) Education is expanding its educational program with a new, free teaching package linked to the short film Tene Kòrsou Limpi. The teaching materials were specifically developed for students in grades 7 and 8 and can be used directly in the classroom.

Education inside and outside the classroom
Carmabi Education is actively committed to nature and environmental education on Curaçao. In addition to educational programs in the island’s national parks and guest lessons at schools, the organization also develops teaching materials to support teachers in addressing relevant and current topics in the classroom.
Film with a clear message
The film Tene Kòrsou Limpi, an initiative by Alex Roose, takes place in a fantasy world where children take over the roles of adults. In a fictional courtroom, adults responsible for polluting nature are held accountable.
The film brings attention to issues such as environmental pollution and personal responsibility in an accessible and creative way.
Interactive teaching package
The accompanying lesson package includes ready-made assignments, in-depth discussion questions and creative classroom activities. Students are encouraged to think actively about the impact of litter and waste on their environment, as well as their own role in protecting nature.
Free and immediately available
Accessibility is a key priority for Carmabi Education. That is why the teaching materials are available free of charge to all schools on Curaçao.
Teachers can easily download the materials and use them immediately in their lessons.
Raising environmental awareness among youth
With this new addition, Carmabi Education reinforces its mission to increase environmental awareness among young people and inspire them to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable Curaçao.
