WILLEMSTAD – Ronaldinho Gaúcho, one of the most iconic football players in the history of the game, will travel to Curaçao to participate in the 4th Annual Legends Football Tournament 2026, made possible through the close collaboration between Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH) and Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP).
The arrival of this global football legend highlights the growing international appeal of the tournament and reflects the shared commitment of CAH and CAP to create impactful initiatives that connect aviation, tourism, sports, and community. By joining forces, both organizations continue to demonstrate how partnerships within the airport ecosystem can help position Curaçao on the global stage.
CAH has been organizing the Legends Football Tournament, together with the Curaçao Tourist Board, since 2023 to showcase the scale and type of international events that can be hosted within the airport’s surrounding areas while contributing to increased visitor arrivals through Curaçao’s airport. As the owner of the airport and its surrounding areas, CAH continues to position the airport ecosystem as a dynamic gateway that connects sports, tourism, and international engagement.
CAP, as the airport operator, works closely with CAH in the daily operations of the airport and collaborates on special initiatives and events that strengthen Curaçao’s position as a leading aviation hub in the region. Through this partnership, both organizations continue to work side by side to ensure that Curaçao International Airport remains among the best-performing and most forward-looking airports in the Caribbean.

This year, Spain and Italy join the tournament lineup alongside Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Portugal, the Netherlands, and host nation Curaçao.
In addition to Ronaldinho, fans will witness an extraordinary lineup of football legends, including Rivaldo and Lúcio (Brazil); Carlos Valderrama and Faustino Asprilla (Colombia); Ariel Ortega and Rolando Schiavi (Argentina); Wesley Sneijder and Clarence Seedorf (Netherlands); and Ricardo Quaresma and Vítor Baía (Portugal). Spain will be represented by Fernando Morientes and Michel Salgado, while Italy brings Marco Materazzi and Alessandro Nesta. Curaçao’s own football heroes, including Stallone Isenia, Ranties “Terry” Rosina, and Ludjino “Jin” Hojer, complete this extraordinary roster.
