Cabinet Approves Changes to Aviation Security Fee Regulations

WILLEMSTAD – The Council of Ministers has approved a proposal to amend regulations related to aviation security fees in Curaçao.

The changes involve an adjustment to the National Decree governing the implementation of the aviation security levy. The proposal was submitted by the Ministry of Traffic, Transport and Urban Planning.

The decision follows legal advice from the Directorate of Legislation and Legal Affairs.

According to the government, the amendment will now be submitted to the Governor of Curaçao for formal approval.

The aviation security fee is used to support safety measures within the aviation sector, including airport security operations.
