WILLEMSTAD - Critical Communication Caribbean (C3) successfully hosted its first Critically Connected event on 21 October 2026, bringing together critical communications, security and safety technologies under one roof. The event demonstrated how integrated technology solutions can be tailored to meet the specific needs of organizations across a wide range of industries.
Approximately 150 guests attended the event, including Minister Shalton Hato and representatives from government, public safety, hospitality, utilities, enterprise, healthcare, ports, airports, retail, banking and correctional facilities.

Visitors experienced live demonstrations from C3 and its technology partners, including Motorola Solutions, Genetec, Zenitel, Federal Signal and Tech Security. The event provided an opportunity for attendees to meet the companies behind the technologies, speak directly with specialists and industry experts, and explore solutions to the operational and security challenges their organizations face.
Throughout the event, C3 demonstrated how its local expertise, combined with innovative technology and strong partnerships, helps organizations improve safety, strengthen security and maintain operational continuity.
Bert Schreuders, Managing Director of C3, said:
“Strong partnerships build strong communities. Providing mission-critical communication at the correct moment, when it matters the most, is exactly what we are all about.”

A comprehensive portfolio for the Dutch Caribbean and beyond
Mission-critical communications are at the heart of C3’s offering. C3 owns and operates the only mission-critical TETRA network in the Dutch Caribbean, which has been operational since 2005. Its portfolio also includes DMR digital radio solutions for commercial and industrial applications, as well as C3 Smart, a push-to-talk solution that enables teams to communicate instantly and securely across islands and around the world. Through its partnership with Iridium, C3 also provides reliable satellite communications in locations where conventional networks are unavailable.
C3 designs and builds dispatch and control centers for emergency services, public safety agencies and industrial operations. Its C3 Locator solution provides GPS tracking for vehicles, vessels, people and assets. In addition, C3’s radio frequency engineers design and implement private networks to optimize coverage, reliability and performance.
Security, surveillance and access control form another key part of C3’s portfolio. These solutions include CCTV and camera security systems for critical infrastructure, banks, commercial facilities and border surveillance, as well as public address (PA), intercom and access control systems.
Signaling and inspection technology further strengthen C3’s offering. These solutions range from light and siren systems for vehicles and vessels to inspection equipment for cargo, baggage and vehicles, as well as detection systems for people, metals and organic materials.
C3 also provides digital security and surveillance solutions, including personal security and drone surveillance. Its portfolio extends to automated parking systems for airports, villa parks, city centers, shopping malls and parking garages, as well as digital delivery systems that digitize the delivery of goods and products.
Connecting technology, expertise and people
With Critically Connected, C3 created a platform for meaningful connections between technology providers, industry specialists and the organizations that rely on their solutions every day. The event highlighted the value of bringing different technologies and areas of expertise together to address real-world challenges across the Dutch Caribbean.
