WILLEMSTAD – A delegation from the Bond Gepensioneerden van de Nederlandse Antillen & Aruba (BGNAA) paid a courtesy visit on Monday, May 25, 2026 to the Governor of Curaçao, Mauritsz de Kort.

Representing the BGNAA were chairman Peter van den Esschert and secretary Hans Theunissen.

During the meeting, the delegation informed the Governor about the organization’s activities and findings related to representing the interests of pensioners from the former Netherlands Antilles and Aruba.

The discussion focused on challenges and developments affecting the position and well-being of this specific group of retirees.

According to the organization, BGNAA has spent decades advocating on behalf of its members and continues to play an important role in drawing attention to issues impacting pensioners from the former Dutch Caribbean territories.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation presented Governor De Kort with a copy of the anniversary publication “70 Years of Bondsmededelingen.”

The commemorative book highlights the history and activities of the BGNAA over the past seven decades and reflects on the organization’s role and development throughout the years.
