WILLEMSTAD – Ben Whiteman has been elected the new president of the Curaçao Red Cross following an internal election that also resulted in the appointment of a new board for the organization.
Whiteman will lead the humanitarian organization during its next term together with the newly elected board.
The Curaçao Red Cross announced the leadership change while wishing Whiteman and the other board members success in their work for the organization.
The Red Cross plays an important role in Curaçao in humanitarian assistance and support to the community, particularly during emergencies and situations in which vulnerable residents require assistance.
With the internal election completed, Whiteman and the new board will now take responsibility for guiding the organization through its next period and continuing its work within the Curaçao community.
