BOGOTÁ – Avianca Cargo, the cargo division of the Abra Group, has established a humanitarian air bridge to transport 150 tons of emergency relief supplies to Venezuela in response to the devastating earthquakes that have struck the country.
The operation forms part of the "United for Venezuela" (Unidos por Venezuela) initiative, a coordinated effort involving humanitarian organizations and private-sector partners to rapidly deliver essential aid to affected communities.

According to Avianca Cargo, the airline added two dedicated cargo flights and implemented a coordinated logistics plan to move relief supplies into Venezuela. The operation was carried out in partnership with organizations including Fundación Juntos Se Puede, Coalición por Venezuela, Postobón, Servicio a Bordo, Fundación Ruta Animal, and Laika Mascotas.
The 150 tons of humanitarian assistance include food, drinking water, medical supplies, hygiene products and aid for pets and animals impacted by the disaster. The goal is to ensure that donations and essential supplies reach the communities most severely affected as quickly as possible.
Representatives of the "United for Venezuela" initiative said the successful operation reflects the commitment of all participating organizations to combine resources and expertise during times of crisis. They emphasized that close coordination among airlines, charities and private companies has made it possible to establish an efficient humanitarian logistics network capable of responding to urgent needs.
The Avianca Cargo operation is part of a broader international relief effort that has mobilized governments, humanitarian agencies and private companies from across the Americas and Europe following the powerful earthquakes that struck Venezuela. International rescue teams, military aircraft, naval vessels and humanitarian organizations have been deploying personnel and emergency supplies to support rescue and recovery operations in the affected areas.
