WILLEMSTAD – At least fifteen vehicles belonging to Panda were heavily damaged overnight during a large-scale act of vandalism at the industrial area of Seru Mahuma on Curaçao.
According to initial information, unknown individuals smashed the windows of trucks, excavators, and several other company vehicles parked on the business premises.
Employees arriving at the site on Tuesday morning reportedly discovered extensive destruction across the property.
In addition to the damaged vehicles, a tank containing asphalt was reportedly opened, causing asphalt to spill across parts of the terrain and resulting in further damage.
Multiple police units responded to the scene to secure the area, collect evidence, and begin an investigation.
Police have described the incident as a large-scale act of vandalism.
Authorities have not yet released information regarding possible suspects or a potential motive behind the attack.
The full extent of the financial damage is still being assessed.
The incident has raised concern within the local business community because of the scale of the destruction and the targeting of industrial equipment and operational vehicles.
