WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao women's national football team suffered a heavy 6-1 defeat against Aruba women's national football team in the 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers on Monday night.
The Group E match was played at Stadion Rignaal “Jean” Francisca in Willemstad, where Aruba took control early and maintained dominance throughout the game.

Aruba opened the scoring in the 6th minute through Tarianna Doornkamp, who finished a through ball from Adannayah Breinburg. The visitors doubled their lead just before halftime when Soraya Verhoeve converted a free kick in the 43rd minute.
Curaçao responded shortly after the break, with Amazia Burnet scoring in the 52nd minute following a defensive error, assisted by Shi-Jona Martina. However, Aruba quickly restored their advantage as Doornkamp converted a penalty in the 54th minute.
The visitors continued to press, with Aisse Gumbs adding a fourth goal in the 67th minute after a well-controlled finish. Breinburg extended the lead in the 80th minute, before Jennifer Henao sealed the result with a close-range goal in stoppage time.
With the victory, Aruba concludes its qualifying campaign with six points and a 2-0-2 record in Group E.
Curaçao will now look to regroup ahead of its final match in the qualifiers, scheduled for April 17 against Saint Kitts and Nevis women's national football team.
