WILLEMSTAD – After more than fifteen years as a familiar name in Pietermaai, restaurant Ginger-Carib Asian Cuisine has been declared bankrupt. The court issued the bankruptcy decision this week.
The restaurant, located on Schoonesteeg, had been operating in Curaçao since 2010 and was officially registered under the company name Sukru Sani N.V.
The bankruptcy marks the end of a long presence in one of Willemstad’s most popular hospitality districts. Ginger-Carib Asian Cuisine was known for its Caribbean-Asian fusion concept and formed part of the Pietermaai dining scene for many years.
A trustee has been appointed to handle the bankruptcy process. Creditors and other interested parties who require information or wish to submit claims can contact trustee Danilo Narvaez through the website of VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne.
Further details about the cause of the bankruptcy, outstanding debts or the future of the restaurant location have not been disclosed.
