WILLEMSTAD, BUENOS AIRES – Aerolíneas Argentinas has announced that it will add Curaçao to its international network, introducing four weekly services from Buenos Aires as part of its 2027 summer schedule. The announcement was made Wednesday through the airline’s social media channels and at a company business event in Argentina. Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP) has not yet publicly confirmed the new service.
According to Aerolíneas Argentinas, flights to Curaçao will begin on January 2, 2027, departing from Ministro Pistarini International Airport, better known as Ezeiza, in Buenos Aires. Of the four weekly frequencies, two will operate nonstop between Buenos Aires and Curaçao, while two will operate via Aruba.
The airline said the Curaçao services will be operated with Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. In its social media announcement, Aerolíneas promoted Curaçao as its newest Caribbean destination and immediately included the island in its ongoing Travel Sale promotion.
The announcement represents a significant potential expansion of Curaçao’s air connectivity with South America. Argentina is a large outbound tourism market, but Curaçao has traditionally had considerably stronger air connections with Colombia and other countries in the northern part of the continent.
Aerolíneas Argentinas presented Curaçao as part of a broader expansion of its Caribbean network for the upcoming summer season. Cartagena, Colombia, will also become a new destination, with five weekly flights beginning January 1. The airline already serves Aruba, Punta Cana and Cancún.
Fabián Lombardo, president and CEO of Aerolíneas Argentinas, said the addition of Curaçao and Cartagena is intended to expand the carrier’s Caribbean presence and offer passengers more travel alternatives. The airline plans to offer more than 1.5 million seats across its network in January 2027, approximately 13 percent more than in January 2026.
The Curaçao announcement comes directly from the Argentine carrier, but CAP has not yet issued its own confirmation of the route. Further details, including the exact operating days, flight numbers and arrival and departure times at Curaçao International Airport, are expected as the start of operations approaches.
If implemented as announced, the service would provide Curaçao with a new direct connection to one of South America’s largest metropolitan and tourism markets and further strengthen the island’s growing network of international air connections.
