ADC Curaçao Illuminates Roodeweg Building in Pink and Blue to Raise Awareness of Pregnancy and Infant Loss

Local, Health, | By Correspondent October 15, 2026

WILLEMSTAD – The Analytical Diagnostic Center (ADC) in Curaçao is illuminating its building on Roodeweg in pink and blue every evening throughout October as a symbol of solidarity, love, and support for families affected by pregnancy and infant loss.

October is internationally recognized as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a period dedicated to remembering babies and children who passed away too soon and acknowledging the grief experienced by their families.

Through the initiative, ADC aims to raise awareness of a sensitive subject that affects many families while expressing compassion for parents and loved ones who continue to carry the memories of their children.

As Curaçao's national laboratory, ADC emphasized that its daily work involves not only healthcare, life, and hope, but also difficult moments when families face loss and uncertainty.

The organization said illuminating its building is a visible expression of support for everyone affected by pregnancy and infant loss.

The pink and blue lighting serves as a reminder that families experiencing such losses are not alone and that their grief deserves recognition, understanding, and compassion.

ADC will continue illuminating the Roodeweg building every evening during October in observance of the awareness month.
