WILLEMSTAD – A total of 50 young people have started their vacation internship at the Ministry of Justice of Curaçao. During the program, they will have the opportunity to learn more about the ministry, receive information about its different departments and experience firsthand what working in the justice sector involves.

The first day of the program was filled with energy, creativity and teamwork. Through an interactive program, the participants worked in groups on different assignments and later presented their ideas through drama performances and presentations.

A special highlight of the day was that each group developed recommendations on how young people would advise the Minister of Justice and the Government of Curaçao on ways the ministry can continue improving and introduce new ideas.

The presentations gave the young participants an opportunity to share their perspectives and demonstrate how they view the future of justice services on the island.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the enthusiasm, active participation and innovative thinking shown by the young participants demonstrate that Curaçao has a new generation willing to contribute positively to the future of the community.

The vacation internship aims to provide young people with insight into the work of the justice sector while encouraging their involvement and interest in public service.
