WILLEMSTAD – The 23rd Annual Female Leadership Event in Curaçao, founded in 2004, returns this year with an inspiring and forward‑looking theme: "Beyond Empowerment." This theme reflects a powerful truth: women who achieve success, professionally or personally, understand that empowerment is not the destination, but a transformative phase on the path to even greater impact.

This year's speakers are from Curaçao: Joyce da Costa Gomez, from Peru: Iván Muñiz
Rothgiesser, from Colombia: Sonia Milena Gonzalez Bocanegra and from Bonaire: Altagracia Rienhart-Martis.
For more than two decades, this conference has brought together women and the people who champion them to celebrate achievements, share lived experiences, and address the realities that continue to shape the journey of today's career‑driven woman.
It has also become a vital platform for ambitious young women, offering them the opportunity to learn directly from the challenges, breakthroughs, and wisdom of accomplished leaders.
This year's edition will once again honor excellence through two signature recognitions:
Outstanding Woman Award: celebrating a remarkable Caribbean woman over 60 whose work has meaningfully advanced the lives of other women.
Margaret Star Recognition: highlighting an inspiring young leader, male or female, between 18 and 35, who embodies ambition and positive impact.
The main conference will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026, followed by a three‑day immersive experience, the 4th 'Unstoppable Retreat', designed to deepen this year's theme and reinforce the idea that continuous growth and goal‑setting make every woman truly unstoppable. Participation is in person or virtual.
For 23 years, the mission has remained unwavering: to cultivate more successful female leaders who not only rise but also give back to the communities that shaped them. This event is for every woman who knows she deserves to be celebrated, and who is ready to explore how much more she can achieve.
Born from the real stories of career women, this conference was created to address a persistent truth: too many talented women never reach their full potential. In today's challenging world, where many professionals are also primary caregivers, it is essential to support women in becoming stable, confident, and fulfilled, professionally, emotionally, financially, and in their overall well‑being.
