WILLEMSTAD – Police arrested a 17-year-old boy Wednesday afternoon near Sambil on suspicion of involvement in the theft of two scooters.
The theft took place on Telamonstraat, where the suspects reportedly stole two scooters along with a wallet. The stolen bank card found in the wallet was later used for contactless payments at several stores.
The teenager was brought before an assistant public prosecutor, who decided to keep him in custody for further investigation.
Police have not ruled out additional arrests as the investigation continues.
