WILLEMSTAD - Tourists visiting Curaçao for a delightful sun-soaked vacation are increasingly opting for all-inclusive resorts, as reported by CASHA, an organization representing small accommodations.
According to CASHA, there are many tourists on the island, yet they are not commonly seen on local beaches or in public spaces. The reason for this is that an increasing number of tourists are choosing all-inclusive vacations offered by the large resorts on the island.
Furthermore, there is a growing number of alternative accommodations for tourists. Recently, Nu.cw reported on the rise of Airbnbs in Curaçao, which have also become popular among visitors.
Car rental companies are also noticing that tourists are favoring all-inclusive vacations more frequently. The rental period for cars has shortened, now often lasting only two to three days, whereas in the past, rentals were for more extended periods. This shift is evident in the statistics, with last year's car rental occupancy rate in September at 75 percent, whereas this year, during the same month, it was only 38 percent.
Dive schools are also experiencing changes in the types of tourists they serve. While booking numbers for dive schools remain consistent, there is a growing trend of cancellations without specific reasons.
