The latest NCL ship, Norwegian Viva, visits Curaçao for the first time

WILLEMSTAD - Norwegian Viva, the newest cruise ship, part of the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) fleet, visited Curaçao on January 3 for the first time. Norwegian Viva is the second “Prima class” ship of NCL delivered on August 3, 2023. This ship, which departed from Venice, Italy, made its inaugural journey on August 10, 2023.

As it was the first time this cruise ship visited Curaçao, an inaugural ceremony took place on the ship. During the ceremony, the captain of the ship, representatives from Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA), Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), and their agent, Maduro Shipping, exchanged plaques.

On this day, besides Norwegian Viva, also Carnival Vista and Marella Voyager visited the port of Curaçao. This means that for a second consecutive day, more than 10,000 cruise tourists visited our island.

Norwegian Viva, which was docked at the Mega Pier Tula, visited Curaçao with a total of 3,616 passengers on board.

Carnival Vista, which was docked at the Mega Pier Ernest Jackie Voges, visited Curaçao with 4,569 passengers on board.
