WILLEMSTAD - The cruise ship Regal Princess, part of the Princess Cruises fleet, visited Curaçao for the first time on Monday, October 30.
As it was the maiden voyage of this cruise ship to Curaçao, an inaugural ceremony was held aboard the ship, including a plaque exchange facilitated by the Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) and the ship's agent, Armada Port Agency. During the ceremony, representatives from the CPA, Mr. Ruisandro Cijntje (Minister of Economic Development), Mr. Robert Candelaria (Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the CPA), and members of Armada Port Agency welcomed the Regal Princess, the ship's captain, and her crew.
The Regal Princess has a total capacity of 3,604 cruise passengers. During its visit to Curaçao, the ship accommodated 3,092 passengers as it embarked on a 12-day journey, departing from Fort Lauderdale on October 24 and concluding in Galveston, Texas on November 5.
