New WINAIR aircraft landed in St. Maarten

PHILIPSBURG – Last week Friday evening, the new ATR aircraft of WINAIR landed at Princess Juliana Airport in St. Maarten.

Since it was already dark upon the arrival of the new aircraft with registration PJ-WIV, it was shown to a group of invitees on Saturday morning. The deployment of aircraft with fifty seats is a major step for WINAIR, which previously only had 19-seater aircraft in its fleet.

The new larger aircraft will be used on routes between Philipsburg and all three ABC islands. These routes were previously served by aircraft from Air Antilles, based in Guadeloupe. Destinations

Within a few weeks, a second aircraft of the same type will be added. After the arrival of the second aircraft, WINAIR will fly to even more destinations with the ATR aircraft.
