WILLEMSTAD – A new five-star all-inclusive resort, TUI BLUE Curaçao, is set to open its doors this September on the west side of the island in Santa Martha. Construction of the resort is already well advanced as preparations begin to welcome the first guests later this year.
The new hotel will operate under the TUI BLUE concept, which is particularly popular among Dutch vacationers and has a high number of returning guests. Globally, more than 100 hotels operate under the TUI BLUE formula, and the Curaçao property will become one of the brand’s newest additions when it opens in September.

The resort will feature 297 rooms and is currently in the final stages of construction. The project is being developed by the Vogels and Van Alstede families. The Curaçao-based Vogels hotelier family—known for managing the Avila Beach Hotel and LionsDive Beach Resort—will oversee the management of the new property. The Van Alstede family, which also developed the TUI Curaçao Office building in Willemstad, is responsible primarily for the construction side of the project.
Robbin Vogels of TUI BLUE Curaçao says the Santa Martha location offers an ideal setting for the resort. According to him, the area features one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean and provides the perfect environment for the TUI BLUE concept. The team is currently working intensively to ensure that guests will experience a unique all-inclusive stay once the hotel opens.
Developers expect the new resort to provide a significant boost to tourism on Curaçao. In addition to attracting visitors from the Netherlands, the hotel is also expected to welcome travelers from other markets served by the global TUI network.
The project is also expected to create employment opportunities and contribute to economic and tourism development on the west side of the island.
Although the hotel will officially open to guests in September, travel agents will have opportunities to visit the resort beforehand. Several promotional events and pre-opening activities are planned, including incentive campaigns, special offers for travel agents and study trips designed to introduce tourism professionals to the new resort and the TUI BLUE concept.
