WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao introduces a new country classification list based on the incidence of COVID-19 in that country.
The country’s epidemiological situation along with measures to protect public health care and any agreements with the country/territory are being considered. This list can be adjusted according to the latest developments regarding COVID-19 in each country.
Noticeably the U.S. has been put on code red on this list. Sint Maarten will be 'a very high risk country' for Curaçao from next Friday.
Bonaire will go orange (high risk country) that day. Code red means for travelers to Curaçao that a PCR test must be taken no more than 72 hours before departure. This obligation applies to all travelers aged 12 and older.
The PCR test applies to residents and foreign visitors, vaccinated and unvaccinated. Anyone who has not been vaccinated or who is an international visitor must also have an antigen test taken on the third day after arrival.
All travelers must also complete the Passenger Locator Card (PLC) within 48 hours prior to departure.
