KLM travelers can check corona documents at home

SCHIPHOL - Anyone flying with KLM to Curaçao or Sint Maarten can now check online in advance whether they have all the necessary corona documents. With the new service 'Covid-19 check | Upload at Home', the airline wants to simplify the travel process for its customers.

When travelers have booked a flight, they receive an invitation from KLM for the check. They can upload the documents up to five hours before departure. A KLM team checks whether everything is in order and the intention is to send a confirmation within an hour. KLM does recommend that you still have the paper copies with you during the trip, because these must be shown upon arrival in Curaçao.

“Travel is currently complicated, because countries have different entry requirements, which can also change quickly. It is important for KLM to unburden our customers as much as possible. That is why KLM's 'Covid-19 check | Upload at Home'. This innovative service means that KLM customers can go to the airport with peace of mind, because they know for sure that they have the necessary corona travel documents in order," said Boet Kreiken, vice president customer experience at KLM, on Luchtvaarnieuws.nl.

The online check is available for KLM flights to five destinations, in addition to Curaçao and Sint Maarten, which are Dubai, Lima and Istanbul. That number is expected to increase in the near future.
