WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao airline Jetair wants to fly to Venezuela. The company has applied for this. This was confirmed by the new director Edward Heerenveen. As early as October last year, the airline showed its interest in operating flights between the South American country and Curaçao. Specific routes are not yet known.  

The application is first processed by the authorities. According to Heerenveen, the situation in Venezuela is different from when he was at the helm of InselAir. Nowadays, Venezuelan travelers no longer pay with Bolivar, but with a credit card. As a result, companies are no longer dependent on currency authority Cadivi.
