AMSTERDAM - The 3rd edition of CARE Caribbean will take place on 15 November in The Hague. CARE Caribbean is a biennial networking and career event specifically aimed at healthcare professionals and students interested in pursuing a career on Bonaire, Saba, Sint Eustatius, Curaçao, Aruba, or Sint Maarten.
At the event, a number of Caribbean employers will present themselves at a job fair. Speed dates will be organized between employers and potential employees, and there will be an engaging plenary program. In addition, there will be ample opportunity to meet and network in an informal setting. Over a hundred participants are expected to attend the event.
The plenary program aims to inspire attendees to share knowledge and experiences and to jointly develop solutions that have a positive impact on the further development of the healthcare and welfare sector in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.
Three different panels will discuss how to strengthen the connection between Caribbean employers on the islands and Caribbean students and young professionals in the Netherlands. Ideas will also be exchanged on ways to encourage graduates and professionals to return to the islands.
CARE Caribbean is organized by Stichting WeConnect and AMA, and is made possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) in the Netherlands. Visitors can order a free admission ticket via the website: www.carecaribbean.nl.
WeConnect is an educational foundation dedicated to connecting the Caribbean part of the Kingdom (Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten and the BES islands) with the European part of the Kingdom (the Netherlands). Its main target group consists of Caribbean students and (young) professionals in the Netherlands. AMA is the association of Caribbean healthcare professionals in the Netherlands.
The association’s aim is to connect all (bio)medical, pharmaceutical and health scientists, other healthcare professionals, and paramedics with a passion for the Dutch Caribbean islands.
