WILLEMSTAD, ATLANTA - The first direct flight from Delta Airlines originating in Atlanta, Georgia, will arrive at Hato Airport on Saturday. Typically, the aircraft is welcomed on the runway with the customary water salute.
Delta claims to be the only airline offering direct flights from Atlanta to Curaçao. "This way, travelers from a hundred U.S. cities have access to the island through connecting flights," says the airline.
The flights will take place once a week, every Saturday. Those wishing to fly back to Atlanta immediately on Saturday, September 16, will pay at least 3100 guilders for a ticket. In the first week of January, the flights cost around 2100 guilders, and by early February, prices fluctuate around 1800 guilders.
The flight duration is approximately four hours.
