Even if all measures are abolished, a facemask will remain mandatory on the plane

THE HAGUE - The Dutch cabinet wants to abolish almost all corona measures on March 23, but the facemask must still be worn on the airplane, because this would concern European rules.

The obligation also applies to KLM and TUI flights to and from the Caribbean islands.

Earlier this week, KLM and Transavia argued for the abolition of the mask requirement in aircraft, but that does not seem to have led to the desired result, aviationnieuws.nl reports.

The obligation to test for vaccinated travelers from outside the EU will be abolished. The Caribbean islands were previously exempt from this.
