Global Acclaim and Enhanced Airlift
The surge in visitor numbers from key markets has led to global recognition for Curaçao as a premier destination. Additional air services, particularly from Amsterdam, contributed to an 18.5% increase in visitors from the Netherlands, alongside notable surges from the USA and Brazil. Notably, the number of visitors from the USA grew by 6,883, while visitors from Brazil increased by 2,000 compared to March 2023. This international acclaim solidifies Curaçao's status as a top-tier destination.
Sustained Growth and Future Outlook
The momentum in Curaçao's hospitality sector is expected to continue throughout 2024, with strong forward bookings and ongoing efforts in the second quarter to ensure further growth. However, stakeholders emphasize the importance of remaining vigilant and proactive to effectively manage this growth.
These achievements underscore Curaçao's position as a leading tourist destination, reflecting the dedication and collaboration of the entire industry, including tourism organizations, government, stakeholders, and CHATA members. With sustained growth and continued efforts, Curaçao is poised for a prosperous future in the hospitality sector.
