WILLEMSTAD - Travelers to Curaçao no longer have to take out mandatory corona insurance starting today Friday May 6, 2022.

The insurance was mandatory to cover the medical and isolation costs in the event of a corona infection. The government sees the infections increasingly ending and has therefore decided to end this mandatory requirement to travel to the island.

Travelers can decide for themselves whether they still want to take out travel or cancellation insurance. The government still strongly recommends this.
