CARACAS, WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao was invited by Chief Admiral Carmen Meléndez Rivas, Mayor of Caracas, Venezuela to participate in this year’s Carnival celebration in the city of Caracas, Venezuela. The Carnival group ‘Dushi Aventura’ represented Curaçao during the festivities on February 28th and March 1st.

Curaçao’s participation was a great opportunity to express our culture through our music, dance and colorful costumes. During the parade in the city of Caracas, the Curaçao Tourist Board represented by Andre Rojer, Regional Manager South America presented a token of appreciation to Chief Admiral Carmen Meléndez Rivas, Mayor of Caracas, Venezuela. The token of appreciation is an official photography of Roger Gibbs who is a well-known born in Curaçao photographer based in New York.
