Corendon will soon open a new hotel and two restaurants in Curaçao

AMSTERDAM - Corendon will open a new hotel in Curaçao this year. It will be called The Riff and will be located next to the cruise terminal in Otrobanda, not far from the current Corendon Hotel.

The new hotel will have four hundred rooms and should open its doors in mid-December.

“With the opening of our new hotel in Curaçao, we have a thousand rooms on the island. This means we have approximately twenty percent of the hotel capacity on Curaçao," Atilay Uslu told Travel Magazine. The Corendon founder says that Corendon also has a thousand rooms with its hotels in Amsterdam.

“Curaçao is currently doing well at Corendon,” says Uslu. “Customers from the U.S. in particular book well.” Under the name 'Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, Corendon emphatically positions itself in the American market.

“Americans traditionally go to Aruba a lot, but the partnership with Hilton is paying off in the American market.”

The new hotel The Riff will soon also be a collaboration with Hilton, says Uslu.

Mondi restaurant

Curaçao will also get two new so-called Mondi restaurants on the island. One in the Livingstone Jan Thiel resort, this year and then in the new hotel The Riff, in the third quarter of 2024.

Corendon already has three Mondi restaurants in the Netherlands since Saturday. Chef Justin Niessen, who developed the restaurant concept, presented his new cookbook with Caribbean recipes on Saturday evening at the opening of the third restaurant in Amsterdam Nieuw-West.
