Corendon starts expanding Mangrove Beach Resort

WILLEMSTAD - Corendon has started the second phase of the construction of the Mangrove Beach Resort. About 300 to 400 rooms will be added.

"We are very satisfied with the result of the first part," spokesman Edward Suares indicated. “We have a good occupancy rate and there is a lot of demand for our hotel. In addition, we see growth from the North and South American market, which means we are ready for expansion.”

The current resort has 399 rooms. With the construction of the second part, the capacity will be expanded to about 700 to 800 rooms. The hotel will have an all-inclusive section as well as an 'adult only' section, which only hotel guests can use. The Mondi Beach Club that is being built at the hotel will also be accessible to tourists and cruise passengers.

Corendon is very positive about the expansion of the resort, according to Suares. The resort hopes to open the doors of the new section around December 2023.
