Corendon donates 1 guilder per passenger to Hòfi Mango in Curaçao

WILLEMSTAD - Corendon announced yesterday that they will donate 1 guilder per passenger to Curaçao for the planting of several special palm trees in Hòfi Mango, a former plantation and now a protected nature reserve on the island. The park, acquired by Jandino Asporaat, serves not only as a nature park but also as a location with the aim of improving the self-sufficiency of Curaçao's residents.

With this partnership, Corendon aims to not only emphasize its commitment to the local community but also to help preserve the island's beautiful natural environment. With the annual donation, Hòfi Mango can expand and further develop the park. The funds will be used for the maintenance and planting of native trees and plant species in the park. It's more than just sun, sea, and beach.

Atilay Uslu, the founder of Corendon, stated, "Curaçao is a beautiful island, and we want to contribute to its sustainable development in this way. Hòfi Mango is an interesting attraction for our customers. They can learn about the island's history and the value of its unique nature. At the same time, the park serves as a hub for economic development for local residents, with training for gardeners, school programs, and plans for growing and selling vegetables and fruits. We look forward to a literally fruitful partnership with Jandino and his Hòfi Mango."

Corendon also encourages its passengers to voluntarily contribute, whether during a visit to the park or through Hòfi Mango's website, www.hofimango.com. Jandino Asporaat stated, "We can make good use of the donations. For example, there are plans for improved rainwater collection, the creation of new gardens, and a location for cultural activities. All with the goal of further assisting the residents of Curaçao and providing an unforgettable experience for visitors to the island; that's what I aim to achieve with this."
