WILLEMSTAD - CONNECT New World 2024, the premier route development forum dedicated to enhancing air travel connectivity in the Caribbean and the Americas, is currently underway in the vibrant island destination of Curaçao. From June 5th to 7th, industry leaders, aviation executives, and stakeholders are convening for three days of networking, one-to-one meetings, a conference program of expert discussions, and the formation of new strategic partnerships, against the picturesque backdrop of Curaçao's azure waters and rich cultural heritage
Hosted by the Curaçao Tourist Board, Curaçao Airport Partners, and Curaçao Airport Holding, CONNECT New World 2024 aims to showcase the region's potential as a hub for air travel and tourism. Building upon the success of previous editions, CONNECT New World 2024 promises unparalleled opportunities for engagement and dialogue. Participants have the chance to engage in unlimited face-to-face meetings with nearly 30 airlines, including industry giants such as Avianca, Azul, and Air Caraïbes, among others. These meetings serve as a platform for discussing route development, exploring business opportunities, and strengthening partnerships in the region.
In addition to the networking sessions, the event features thought-provoking panels and keynote presentations addressing key issues facing the aviation industry in the Caribbean and the Americas. A lineup of esteemed speakers comprising industry experts and thought leaders are exploring topics ranging from travel technology to aviation sustainability to the creation of a Caribbean air alliance.
Alongside the formal program, attendees have been experiencing Curaçao's warm hospitality, with opportunities to savor local cuisine, indulge in cultural experiences, and explore the island's natural beauty through organized excursions.
Karin Butot, CEO of The Airport Agency and CONNECT organizer, said: “A gathering like this is transformative in showcasing the host destination. I’m delighted that we’ve been able to bring this second edition of CONNECT New World to Curaçao, and our delegates have been incredibly enthusiastic about the event and their experience here.”
