WILLEMSTAD - The Dominican airline Arajet will continue to fly to Curaçao. According to the civil aviation authority DC-ANSP, there is no question of suspending Arajet's permit to fly over Curaçao airspace or to land at Hato.
In accordance with the applicable procedures in the aviation treaty between Curaçao and the Dominican Republic, Arajet is the company that flies to Curaçao.
According to Dominican media, there are allegedly overdue payments and outstanding payments from Arajet to Curaçao. A spokesperson for the company spoke to the media about administrative errors. But according to the civil aviation authority in Curaçao, there is no truth to the whole story.
Arajet is the first low-cost airline in the Caribbean region and launched in September 2022. From Santa Domingo Las Américas, the company serves seventeen destinations in the Caribbean and Central and South America.
