SANTO DOMINGO - Dominican carrier Arajet has taken delivery of its 14th aircraft, a Boeing 737 MAX 8 named "Salto de Jimenoa," continuing its rapid expansion strategy while promoting the country's protected natural areas as part of its brand identity.

The aircraft was named after the iconic waterfall located in Jarabacoa, one of the Dominican Republic's leading ecotourism destinations. Arajet names each aircraft after a protected area to position the country's biodiversity in international markets and align its growth with environmental awareness.

CEO and founder, Víctor Pacheco Méndez, stated that the fleet expansion strengthens connectivity across the Americas while supporting tourism flows and economic development.

"Each aircraft is an ambassador of the Dominican Republic. As we expand our network, we also promote sustainable tourism and responsible growth," Pacheco said.

With one of the youngest fleets in the region, Arajet operates fuel-efficient aircraft that reduce emissions and operating costs, reinforcing its business model and long-term competitiveness in the Caribbean and Latin American markets.
